PAUL SPACKMAN

LUCY SYKES
Founding partner and director of Mountain Mindset.
As a keen mountaineer, runner and outdoor enthusiast Lucy believes that people and businesses can achieve greater potential through connecting with nature, appreciating and redefining capability through adventure.
Lucy has been a consultant stroke physician since 2013, currently working in the departments of Stroke Medicine and Elderly Care at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust. She was Clinical Lead for Stroke 2015-2018, and Clinical Director for Specialty Medicine 2017-2020 including playing a lead role in the Trust response to the coronavirus pandemic. Lucy believes in education and empowerment to develop individuals and teams, thereby promoting the provision of excellent evidence-based healthcare.

Since 2011 Lucy has been part of Wessex-Ghana Stroke Partnership, supporting the development of stroke services to improve patient care at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra. The partnership facilitated the opening of the first dedicated stroke unit in West Africa and now focuses on disseminating skills and knowledge both nationally and internationally.
JAMES STREET
James is a keen mountaineer and former Royal Marine officer, who firmly believes that the best school for managers to achieve success is leading a team in the challenging mountain environment.

James has been mountaineering since the age of 12 and over the last few years has run his own business assisting others to achieve their mountaineering ambitions worldwide.
He became the first Brit to complete the Stubai Ultra Trail in 2018 and has also completed the Lakeland 100 and 50 ultra-marathons, amongst other notable mountain events.
SHONA MARSHALL
A business-orientated learning & development specialist who nurtures talent and harnesses the power of people to drive company performance.
Shona operates at both a strategic and hands-on level to initially define high-level organisational goals, create strategies for success, and then lead the execution of these strategies through operational level plans to drive exceptional business benefits.
She is passionate about developing strong relationships, acting as a trusted partner and consultant to key stakeholders.
Shona has a genuine commitment to delivery and uses her natural coaching style and infectious enthusiasm to gain buy-in to initiatives that drive ground-breaking uplifts in individual and business performance.
STEVE KEW
Steve is a Parachute Regiment Warrant Officer and passionate mountaineer who believes the mountains is the best place to learn and be educated on the challenges of leadership and group management.
He has been a keen climber and all round mountain enthusiast from a very young age. Throughout his military career he has run leadership and adventure training in the mountains for military groups, assisting them to build a strong foundation of leadership and management skills, alongside developing their mountaineering experience to support their roles operationally.
His passion for fitness and the outdoors has led to him competing in numerous climbing competitions, endurance mountain races and team challenges both civilian and military over his career, winning individual and team events.
